*Quotes Provided by IMDB Read full review Season 2 begins on USA Jat 10:00 pm est on the USA NETWORK. To narration (mostly by Donovan) that is near perfection, and the "helpful tips" Westen provides along the way make this show a MUST see!! The sexual tension between Michael and Fiona, and Michael’s seemingly endless struggles with his nagging family (Mother played by Sharon Gless) make this show (in a sense) a thrill menagerie. Read magazines, have coffee, and every so often, someone tries to kill you.’” “Michael Westen: ‘Know what it's like being a spy? Like sitting in your dentist&ap os s reception area twenty-four hours a day. Sam Axe: ‘You think that's good, you should see me without them!’” “Michael Westen: ‘Not bad for a man in his underwear.’ His new mission-find out who “burned” him. Michael Weston (Donovan) was fired from his job as a government spy in the typical fashion-his identity was erased. The tagline “Spies don’t get fired, they get burned,” explains everything you need to know. Led by an all-star cast–Bruce Campbell (Sam Axe), Jeffery Donovan (Michael Westen), Gabrielle Anwar (Fiona Glenanne), and Sharon Gless (Madeline Westen)-this action packed dramedy-thriller draws its audience into a rollercoaster ride that you never want to end! More then just another "average" crime drama! The potential of the DVD format simply begs for more in terms of the same intelligent but entertaining elements as they are expanded and enhanced through that sub-medium we know and love as "DVD extras." Read full review Burn Notice has a simple premise, but each hour is packed with visual, narrative, informational and interpersonal elements that make it so unique and habit-forming. In add ition, given the location, stunts and effects, Burn Notice would have been a great candidate for an in depth behind-the-scenes doc (hey, give one of the PAs a video cam and show us how it's done!). With the chemistry and affection that the cast seems to have between and for one another, I have to believe that there must have been more bloopers worth seeing. Campbell's commentaries always have the right balance of technical craft, one-liners, critique, anecdotes and personality that makes commentaries worth listening to. Bruce Campbell always makes for a great commentary track, so if you've got him, make the most of it. The scene specific commentaries were good, but there weren't enough of them. However, I hoped for more from this DVD edition in terms of extras. It has an outstanding cast, intelligent scripts (with snappy dialogue) and a great look. The series Burn Notice is one of the best shows currently on television. By that standard, this movie does fine.A great show demands great (and plentiful) extras! Of course, one doesn't watch Bruce Campbell for the outstanding special effects (Alien Apocalypse, anyone?), the great supporting cast (The Man with the Screaming Brain?), or the realistic, down-to-earth plots (any Evil Dead you care to name), one watches for Bruce. It is significant, however, that no one but him could have. It was predictable and a bit preachy, and the mention of the SOA was bordering on heavy-handed, but Bruce charms and smirks his way through it and makes an otherwise forgettable bit of tripe an actual pleasure to watch. The villains were competently played but telegraphed oily evil immediately, losing all sense of suspense there. The doctor guy was annoying, the love interest was whiny but an OK foil, the teen girl was hot but evidently found the scenery too tempting to resist gobbling up in big bites. As a long-time Bruce fan (I first saw Evil Dead in the early 90's, not realizing the man already had a cult fan base), I enjoyed every scene Bruce was in, and since he was in virtually every scene in the film, obviously I enjoyed most of the film.

The time period shown is about half a second. The attack is almost instantaneous, but the decay envelope is very long. This shows the sound envelope of striking a cymbal with a stick. The ear is sensitive to these attack and decay rates and may be able to use them to identify the instrument producing the sound. The decay is long and gradual by comparison. The plucking action gives it a sudden attack characterized by a rapid rise to its peak amplitude. The illustration above shows the attack and decay of a plucked guitar string. The primary contributers to the quality or timbre of the sound of a musical instrument are harmonic content, attack and decay, and vibrato/tremolo. Quality demo: factory whistle, soprano, piano Their distinctly different quality is attributed to vocal formants, frequency ranges where the harmonics are enhanced. The recognition of different vowel sounds of the human voice is largely accomplished by analysis of the harmonic content by the inner ear. It is common practice to characterize a sound waveform by the spectrum of harmonics necessary to reproduce the observed waveform. While there is some efficiency in characterizing such sources in terms of their overtones, it is always possible to characterize a periodic waveform in terms of harmonics - such an analysis is called Fourier analysis. Some musical sound sources have overtones which are not harmonics of the fundamental. For sustained tones, the most important of these is the harmonic content, the number and relative intensity of the upper harmonics present in the sound. The primary contributers to the quality or timbre of the sound of a musical instrument are harmonic content, attack and decay, and vibrato. It is suggested that it takes about a 4 dB change in mid or high harmonics to be perceived as a change in timbre, whereas about 10 dB of change in one of the lower harmonics is required. Some investigators report that it takes a duration of about 60 ms to recognize the timbre of a tone, and that any tone shorter than about 4 ms is perceived as an atonal click. Timbre is mainly determined by the harmonic content of a sound and the dynamic characteristics of the sound such as vibrato and the attack-decay envelope of the sound. Timbre is then a general term for the distinguishable characteristics of a tone. Sound "quality" or "timbre" describes those characteristics of sound which allow the ear to distinguish sounds which have the same pitch and loudness. Sounds may be generally characterized by pitch, loudness, and quality. Peak intensities occur in the frequency bands centred on 200, 315 and 630 Hz, with a fundamental about 80 Hz. Third-octave spectrum of the Salvatore Mundi bell, Salzburg. Line spectrum of the partials of a viola string, omitting their time variation. The amplitude of each partial is inversely proportional to the partial number. The first 32 partials of a HARMONIC SERIES shown as a line spectrum. Spectrum may also refer to a RANGE of frequencies, as in the audio spectrum (see AUDIO FREQUENCY ) or the RADIO SPECTRUM. The spectrum of a sound may be altered electronically by FILTER ing or EQUALIZATION. The spectral envelope refers to the contour or shape of the spectrum, particularly when it shows the maximum strength of each frequency component during the sound. The auditory system is designed to balance the simultaneous resolution of detail in both domains, as expressed by the LAW OF UNCERTAINTY. Īnalyzing the spectrum of a sound is a way of understanding its behaviour in the frequency domain, as opposed to its behaviour in the time domain, according to its WAVEFORM or ENVELOPE. See: diagrams under BROAD BAND NOISE, FOURIER ANALYSIS, INFRASONIC, SPECTROGRAPH, WHITE NOISE. A continuous spectrum, on the other hand, shows frequencies continuously distributed over the audible range. A partial spectrum is also known as a line spectrum, where discrete frequencies are present. The spectrum of a sound may be determined by a SOUND ANALYSER or by FOURIER ANALYSIS and is distributed over the audible range (20 to 20,000 Hz). A continuous spectrum consists of NOISE components. Ī PARTIAL spectrum consists of discrete frequencies known as OVERTONE s, HARMONIC s or INHARMONIC s. The spectrum of a sound is a primary determinant of its perceived TIMBRE. Three-dimensional displays of a spectrum add the time variation on the third axis (see below). The FREQUENCY content of a sound or audio SIGNAL, often displayed as a graphic representation of amplitude (or INTENSITY LEVEL ) against frequency. If you are turning 65 and your spouse isn’t too far behind, I would look at one of these companies first. My favorites are Aetna and Mutual of Omaha. There are a few companies in NJ that offer discounts for spouses and even for people that are in the same household. Time will tell, but I still feel confident in recommending Plan G as the best option for most people. Although, with Plan F being removed for Medicare beneficiaries, it’s very possible Plan G will have higher than normal increases just as Plan F did. You are also guaranteed to save in premium when compared to Plan F. I personally would choose Plan G, followed by Plan N and lastly Plan F(if eligible).įrom what I have seen for at least the ten years, Plan G has much lower increases over time when compared to Plan F. If you are considering Plan N, we should definitely look to see if your providers take Medicare assignment prior to you enrolling. Excess charges aren’t that common, but they do come up from time to time. It is 15% above what Medicare would allow for that expense. Excess charges can happen if your provider does not accept Medicare assignment and it gives them the right to bill you a little extra. One last thing to note is that Plan N does not cover excess charges. For emergency rooms, you have a $50 copay. Just like Plan G, you will need to pay your Part B deductible and then also once that is met, you will need to pay a copay of up to $20 at your doctor. Plan N: The lowest plan we usually look at is Plan N and will fall right around $20-$50 less per month than Plan G. Once you meet that deductible, this plan will work exactly like Plan F with everything covered 100%. in 2021, the Part B deductible is $203 and is expected to be $217 in 2022. Plan G: Plan G is identical to Plan F except you need to pay your annual Part B deductible. If you already had the plan or were 65 prior to Januyou can keep what you had or change to this if you want to. The laws changed in regards to Plan F so if you weren’t 65 and enrolled in Medicare Part A prior to January 1, 2020, you unfortunately can’t enroll in this plan anymore. This means it is also the most expensive plan. It is the easiest plan to work with because you will never have to pay a copay or worry about a bill. Plan F: Plan F will cover all of your expenses except for prescriptions 100%. Most people will purchase either Plan F, Plan G or Plan N. What do each of the different Medigap Plans in New Jersey Cover? What is the best Medigap Policy to Buy in New Jersey? Cost is usually the only difference between Medigap policies with the same letter sold by different insurance companies. Each standardized Medigap policy must offer the same basic benefits, no matter which insurance company sells it. Every Medigap policy must follow Federal and state laws designed to protect you, and the policy must be clearly identified as “Medicare Supplement Insurance.” Medigap insurance companies in most states can only sell you a “standardized” Medigap policy identified by letters A through N. Note: Medicare doesn’t pay any of the costs for you to get a Medigap policy. A Medigap policy is different from a Medicare Advantage Plan (like an HMO or PPO) because those plans are ways to get Medicare benefits, while a Medigap policy only supplements your Original Medicare benefits. If you have Original Medicare and a Medigap policy, Medicare will pay its share of the Medicare approved amounts for covered health care costs. This means it helps pay some of the health care costs (“gaps”) that Original Medicare doesn’t cover (like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles). What is a Medigap policy?Ī Medigap policy (also called “Medicare Supplement Insurance”) is private health insurance that’s designed to supplement Original Medicare. If you have the time and the patience, quilted Monopoly boards look absolutely stunning. The easiest way to make a Monopoly board at home is from a large piece of cardboard as this is easy to cut with scissors, yet sturdy enough to stand up to some use. Traditionally, Monopoly boards are made of paper and cloth fibers, although you can also get some luxury wooden Monopoly boards. I suggest that you follow this if you want to make everything line up perfectly. That’s because I already have a list of Monopoly dimensions that gives you all the exact sizes of the board, squares, cards, money, tokens, houses, and hotels in both inches and centimeters. You’ll find it easiest if you stick to the classic Monopoly board sizes, though. If you want to use all of the original Monopoly squares, then here’s a list of all spaces on the Monopoly board. If you want to, you can also think of alternative names for Water Works, Electric Company, Chance, Community Chest, Income Tax, and Luxury Tax. I never wore a rocker sole before but had no trouble adjusting to these without any breaking in period. I feel very stable, and I don’t trip or drag. Even then, it was never enough to warrant a bandaid or anything. The only problem I have had is it occasionally rubbed my pinkie toe, but that went away after a month or so. It is very stable, and wonderful on my knees when I am standing all day. It is easily the most comfortable shoe I have worn due to the sole. (If you wear thick orthotics, you know how great that is!) I bought my first pair 6 months ago and wore them every day, so I have tried them out fully. I have very thick orthotics and the shoe straps still accommodate without the velcro showing. Be aware, however, that an insert in the heel will lift your foot so that there may be some slippage. I put an orthotic in it and it did not slip. When one dinner came out incorrect, it was corrected with a cold entree that was thrown on a small plate and hastily served as a replacement. Outside looked like a few bar tables already served. This had to be one of the ten worst dinner events that I have had in all of my adult of travels.Ĭold food, wrong order for my dining companion, service was slow even though there were less than 6 tables inside on a. Like I said, they were really busy and it may just be the kitchen was overwhelmed. My wife inquired, "well, where's the 'lava'? Theres supposed to be hot chocolate syrup on it, right?" The waitress looked perplexed. We asked the waitress about it but she insisted it was the lava cake. It looked like a small chocolate hostess cupcake, cold, turned upside down but without the chocolate frosting and without the cream filling. Well, she brought out the desert but it was not a lava cake, at least not like I've ever seen. She returned with the tacos but I was pretty full by this point and only ate the one, and asked for a box and the desert menu. She assured me that I was and she went back to the kitchen. She came over and I asked if I was still going to get the Birria tacos. After about 15 minutes, my Birria tacos still weren't brought over. She acknowledged the mistake and took away the incorrect taco plate. We requested the waitress and told her about my Birria Tacos'. They were plain tacos with shrimp, beef and chicken. The Chile Colorado was perfect as well as my wifes Birria Tacos and our friends dish. In about 10 more minutes the entrees came out. After about 10 minutes, the 2 guac's came out and the cheese deep, but the 'tableside' guac's were in tiny little tortilla shells, not the big stone vessels that we received on the prior visit. We told her, "Two tableside guacamoles, one cheese dip with Chorizo, One Chile Colorado, Two Birria Taco orders and then what our friend ordered (don't remember the name). Shortly, she returned and asked for our requests. Our waitress, extremely nice and attentive, took our drink orders and left to get that.
